When my mother was no longer able to care for her home and, later, herself, our large family took great comfort in knowing that she had found a new, supportive home away from home. Her long-term care home was modest but we managed to visit and help her partake in small celebrations even as her health declined. Remembering these cherished moments during the holidays warms my heart. Anyone caring for aging parents wants to know their loved ones are in good hands.
